Why FB The Wholesaler is Teaming Up with City Catering Southampton This Summer!

They say if you want to go fast, go alone—but if you want to go far, go together. This summer, FB The Wholesaler is incredibly proud to announce our official partnership with City Catering Southampton, an award-winning school meal charity. Together, we are taking on one of the biggest challenges our local community faces every year: summer holiday food poverty. Through their vital CookingAtHome initiative, we are combining our logistics and fresh produce expertise with City Catering's community reach to support hundreds of families across Southampton.

Why this Partnership Works? At FB The Wholesaler, we live and breathe fresh fruit, vegetables, and food logistics. We know how to source quality produce, pack it efficiently, and get it where it needs to go.

City Catering Southampton has the trust, the community relationships, and a proven track record of supporting local schools.

By joining forces, we are streamlining the entire process. Our hands-on partnership is helping to pack and distribute high-quality grocery boxes and family recipe kits across more than 40 schools and community centres this summer break. Day One: 542 Boxes and 271 Families Supported! We didn't just sign a partnership on paper—we got straight to work.

On our very first day on the packing line, the energy was electric. Our team put their everyday packing and sorting skills to the test for a cause that truly matters. The result? 542 total grocery boxes packed in a single day.

Because each family receives a generous two-box bundle loaded with fresh ingredients and step-by-step recipes, our Day One effort alone ensured that 271 local families have peace of mind and nutritious food on the table. Day Two: Keeping the Momentum Going We are officially back at it for Day Two of the packing marathon! The shoulders might be a little stiffer today, but our determination is even stronger. Knowing that these boxes are heading out to over 40 schools and community hubs to keep children fed and happy during the holidays is all the motivation we need to keep pushing. How You Can Support #FoodForGood We are putting in the physical hours and the logistics support, but we cannot do this alone. To keep these boxes filled with the fresh, nutritious ingredients that local families rely on, we need our network to team up with us, too.

If you have the means, please consider making a donation directly to the Cooking at Home project. Every single pound goes directly toward buying fresh food for a family in need.
