Think Globally
Act Locally

From source to doorstep, we’re committed to doing business better. FB The Wholesaler is currently working towards Green Mark certification, a robust programme designed to improve our environmental performance. This partnership allows us to turn our goals into verified change—strengthening our focus on responsible sourcing, waste reduction, and the support of our local Hampshire farming partners.

Solar Energy
In 2024 we had solar panels installed on all our warehouses in Hampshire. Meaning less from the grid and more from the sun.
Prep Room
Waste
Our food waste from the veg prep room is collected by Olleco and processed through anaerobic digestion facilities. This process produces renewable energy as well as organic fertiliser.

Waste Veg
Food that's past its best goes to our local pig farm to use as feed.
Lighting
We use energy-efficient, motion activated LED lights around all our premises.

Shop Local
We prioritise sourcing our products from local suppliers in and around Hampshire. Using local suppliers reduces food miles and helps support local businesses.

Keeping it cool
Zip-doors on our warehouses reduce the amount of energy needed to keep our warehouses chilled

Back hauling
Efficient route planning enables us to pick up goods from our local suppliers after making deliveries to our customers. This approach not only minimises emissions but also reduces transportation costs, ultimately saving our customers money.
Mushroom crates
We reuse or recycle every single mushroom crate that comes through our doors. Whether they’re being moved on to help out local legends like New Forest Mushrooms and Westlands Strawberries, or recycled to start the process afresh, we make sure nothing goes to waste.

Recycling
Our team is committed to sorting
waste and prioritising recycling
